Hootananny Brixton Review

Our return to Stranger than Paradise at the Hootananny Brixton was most enjoyable.  Amanda, the hostess with the mostess was her usual charming self and put together a top notch evening of musical mayhem.  We opened the batting with our usual buffet of ditties about drinking and debauchery.  The crowd was drinking along with us and looked pretty debauched so we got along very well indeed.  The Riddler leaped off the stage during our final number and fiddled with several lovely ladies.

Next up was the vivacious Rudy Deshabille.  Sultry, sassy and sexier than even our own Lord Harold, she heated up an already overly warm venue with her brazen burlesque performance.

A Pony Named Olga hails from Berlin and and they rocked our socks off.  Everyone enjoyed dancing to their frantic brand of polka-billy.  The Baghdaddies closed out the evening with an amazing set of Balkan Boogie.   DJ Sacha Dieu manned the decks throughout the night and spun a wonderfully eclectic yet appropriate mishmash of tunes.  The sweat drenched crowd kicked into overdrive and everyone went home exhausted and happy.

We look forward to doing it all again soon!  Please check out Sqwzl's wonderful review of our set here.
